Dear Snowboard friends. Latvian Ski Association are glad to invite your Nation, as member of International Ski Federation (FIS) to take part in the FIS European Cup and FIS National Championship in Snowboardcross

 2. Competition Rules

 FIS rules and European Cup rules will be applied to this competition valid for the season 2010/2011.

 3. Location of the Course

Skiarea: Ozolkalns
Altitude start: 105 mt. - Altitude finish: 25 mt. - Vertical Drop: 80 mt.

4. Entries - Event fee

Entries will be accepted from Nation Ski & Snowboard Associations in accordance with the FIS quotas and rules for the European Cup and must be submitted to the Organizing Committee on official FIS Entry Form (ICR art.215) by fax or mail, not later than: January 25, 2011.
Entry fee for each competitor for each day of training or race: € 20,00/day.
Deposit per Team: € 100,00

5. Registration

Team registration will take place at the Race Office, which will be located at the „Hotel Kolonna”, Vienibas laukums 1, Cesis, LV4101:
on Thursday 3 February, 11.00 to 20.00
on Friday 4 February, 10.00 to 19.00
All fees must be paid upon registration.

5. Accommodation

Accommodation at the special rate 30 EUR / night / person HB in double and triple room, will be provided in the Hotels in Cesis, in the centre of Cesis or close to competition venue. From center of Cesis is about 3km to the Skiarea of race. Every team has to pay for the accommodation directly to the Organizing Commitee in cash (Euro or Latvian lats (1 EUR = ~ 0.715 LVL)) or by bank transfer (please contact us for Invoice). Each team will be held responsible for any damage incurred during the stay.

Deadline for reservation: January 25, 2011. For booking (we hardly recommend to do it in a short time).

 6. Team Captains Meetings

The Team Captains Meetings will be held in the „Hotel Kolonna”, Vienibas laukums 1, Cesis (same place as the Race Office). Please see schedule for meeting times.

 7. Transportation

Teams are responsible for their own transportation. The skiing pass is available for the event-days at the race office.
Organizing Commitee ofers transfer possibilities from Riga Airport to Hotels and from Hotels to competition venue. Price per person for this transfer is 60 EUR. Please inform us about your arrival and departure dates, number of persons togeher with Hotel bookings.
For special wishes or smaller groups price upon request!

 Transfer to Kongsberg

Organizing Commitee offers also transfer service to the next European Cup event in Kongsberg, NOR (12.-13.02.).
From Cesis to Kongsberg with bus (ferry)
9.february 9:00 - 16:00 Departure from Cesis Sightseeing in Riga with bus, Free time in Riga17:30 Ferry from Riga to Stockholm with TALLINK (www.tallink.lv)
10.february 9:30 Ferry arrives in Stockholm ~ 17:00 arrival in Kongsberg with bus
Cost - 200 EUR per person. Booking deadline 20.01.2011.!

8. Bibs

 All competitors must wear bibs during the competitions (inspection, official training, qualification and race) and, if requested by the organization, also during the award ceremonies. All bibs have to be returned to the organizers!!!

 9. Accident insurance

Each competitor must have his/her own medical insurance and valid medical certificate.
The Organizing Committee, the Ski Area, sponsors, suppliers and their agents, the FIS,
Latvian Ski Association decline any responsibility for accidents, damaged or lost equipment and second and third party claims during the event.

 10. Liability

All athletes, officials and members of the National Association who attend and participate in the event shall do it at their own risk. The Organizing Committee, suppliers, their agents, shall not be responsible for any losses or injuries incurred or suffered by any athlete, official or other person in conjunction with the organising or staging of the event.

11. Official Notice Board

The official Notice Board will be located at the race office „Hotel Kolonna” in Cesis and in the start area of the race.

 Important!

Athletes and Teams are wery welcome to stay at Cesis for trainings after the Races at Ozolkalns from Monday (07.02.2011) till Wednesday (09.02.2011) and the same course will be open for athletes and Teams. Lift tickets and trainings 20.00 EUR/per day.
